UNI Swim and Dive Sits in Second After Day 2 of MVC

COLUMBIA, Missouri— Katie Taylor and Crystal Florman each took top honors as the UNI swimming and diving team sits in second place after two days of competition.
Taylor defended her title in the 200 IM, timing in at two minutes, and forty-two hundredths of a second (2:00.42).
Florman posted a new school record in the 50 freestyle as she took a first-place finish in the event. Florman timed in at 22.68 for top honors.
Moriah Ross timed in a personal best in the 200 IM, swimming a 2:03.94. Ross earned eighth place in the event.
Abby Meyer swam a personal best in the 50 freestyle, timing in at 23.65 for eighth place.
Kylie Engstrom reached the podium in the 500 freestyle, timing in at 5:02.45.
In the 50 freestyle B final, Lauren Havertape timed in at 24.09.
In the diving well, Jayden Lovell won the consolation round of the 1-meter boards. Lovell dove a 239.95. Alyssa Deuso dove a 209 in the event.
In the 200 freestyle relay event, Florman, Havertape, Lauren Kacmarysnki, and Meyer timed in at 1:33.12 to take second in the event.
Jordan McCullough timed in at 5:03.63 in the 500 freestyle. Anika Lillegard-Bouton earned her personal best with a time of 5:06.99 in the 500 freestyle.
Madison Rinaldi timed in at 2:09.05 in the C final of the 200 IM. Alivia Soares timed in at 2:11.23 in the 200 IM.
In the C final of the 50 freestyle, Kacmarynski and Ashleigh Houlette swam times of 24.20 and 24.37 respectively.
