COLUMBIA, Missouri— In the opening session of the 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Swimming and Diving Championship, the UNI Swimming and Diving sits in second place with 72 points.

In the 200 medley relay, the Panther team of Katie Taylor, Moriah Ross, Crystal Florman, and Abby Meyer took first-place with a time of 1:40.50. The Panthers time is a new school record in the event. The Panthers were a full second ahead of host Missouri State, who came in second-place.

In the 800 freestyle relay, the Panther team of Taylor, Kylie Engstrom, Jordan McCullough, and Ross came in third place with a time of 7:25.85. Taylor's led the relay, setting a new school record for the 200 freestyle (1:49.46).
