THE PANTHERS
• The Panthers move to 12-15 on the season at 7-7 in the MVC after defeating the Purple Aces of Evansville in the Ford Center on Sunday.
• The Panthers take on the Bears (15-12, 9-5 MVC) of Missouri State on Wednesday.
• Head Coach Ben Jacobson is 262-165 all-time, 18-8 against the Bears and 8-4 on the road against Missouri State.
• Coach Jacobson passed Gregg Marshall in coaching wins for a Valley coach on Sunday and now sits at 5th all-time with 262 victories. Jacobson passed Marshall in MVC coaching victories on Feb 2.
• UNI has made at least one 3-pointer in 621 straight games – the longest active streak in the Missouri Valley Conference.
• Trae Berhow finished last week with 34 points, 17 rebounds and three assists shooting 52.3 percent from the field. The sophomore finished with 20 points against Illinois State going 7-11 from the field and 5-8 from beyond the three-point arc. Berhow continued to play at a high level on Sunday, finishing with a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
• Spencer Haldeman has found his stride in the month of February, recording double-digit point totals in 5 of the Panthers last 7 games.
• Freshman AJ Green leads the Panthers in scoring in his first year with the team. Green averages 15.4 points per game, ranking 7th in the MVC.
• The Panthers lead the MVC in made three-pointers with 124, (8.9 per game).

THE BEARS
• The Missouri State Bears are 15-12 overall and 9-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference after defeating Loyola 65-61 in Chicago on Sunday afternoon.
• The Bears are on a hot streak winning seven of their last eight games and are on a four-game winning streak with victories over Southern Illinois, Illinois State, Evansville and Loyola in the month of February.
• At 9-5 in the league, the Bears have the league's top defense, surrendering only 60.9 points per game in league play.
• With the Panthers leading the league in made three-pointers the matchup will be on display against the Bears that rank last in the league in three-point defense, allowing league teams to shoot 41.3 percent from beyond the arc.
• Missouri State has three players averaging over 13 points per game in Jarred Dixon (13.0), Keandre Cook (13.4), and Tulio Da Silva (14.9).
• Within MVC action Tulio Da Silva ranks 11th averaging 14.3 points per game. Da Silva is active on both ends of the court, ranking 4th in the league with 7.5 rebounds per game and ranks second with 37 offensive rebounds.
• The Bears Josh Weber tops the league in assists with 67, averaging 4.8 assists per game.
• The Bears are under the direction of first-year head coach Dana Ford. The 34-year-old served the last four years as head coach at Tennessee State University. He is widely regarded as one of the nation's most promising young head coaches and was awarded the Ben Jobe Award in 2016 as the nation's top Division I minority coach.
• Ford orchestrated one of the best turnarounds in NCAA history when he accepted the TSU job in 2014-15 as the nation's youngest Division I head coach at the time. The Tigers went from a 5-26 record his first season to a 20-11 ledger a year later. He earned Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year honors and NABC District 19 Coach of the Year laurels that same season.
• Over his last three years in Nashville, Ford has led the Tigers to a combined 52-39 record and coached five All-OVC players in addition to two players recognized on the OVC All-Newcomer Team.
THE STREAK
UNI has made at least one 3-Pointer in 621 straight games – the longest active streak in the Missouri Valley Conference. The last time UNI failed to make a 3-point basket came Feb. 3, 2000, vs. Southern Illinois in a 72-58 Panther victory in the UNI-Dome. UNI went 0-for-4 from 3-point land vs. the Salukis in that contest.
