UNI Women Ranked Sixth in ESPN Mid-Major Rankings

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI women's basketball continues to make its name on the national stage. ESPN listed the Panthers as the No. 6 mid-major team in the country in their bi-weekly top-10 and UNI moved up one spot in the weekly CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top-25.
The Panthers are 5-0 for the first time since the 1998-99 season and have wins over Mizzou and Iowa already on their resume.
UNI is also in the receiving votes category in the WBCA Coaches Top-25 Poll.
UNI is sixth in the country in free-throw percentage and 11th in three-pointers made per game. The Panthers are averaging 80 points per game on the offensive end of the court and are defeating their opponents by an average of 19 points a game.
The Panthers have another opportunity to prove their chops against two power-five opponents with games against Alabama Friday night and Ohio State Saturday at the South Point Shootout in Las Vegas.
