Two Panthers Awarded MVC Scholar-Athlete

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - UNI Women's Soccer's Sydney Hayden and Jordyn Rolli have been awarded MVC's First-Team Scholar-Athlete.
MVC's Scholar-Athlete award for the 2019 season was awarded to 19 student athletes, while 46 were nominated. Nominees for this award must be starters or an important component of the team with at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA, up from last year's 3.25 GPA requirement. The student athlete must also participate in 75 percent of the regular season games, and be at least a sophomore standing in athletics. Sports Information Directors at the MVC institutions voted for the 2019 Scholar-Athletes.
Both Hayden and Rolli have been previously awarded 2018 Honorable Mention Scholar-Athletes, improving this year to First-Team.
"Sydney and Jordyn eptiomize the 'student' in 'student athlete'. They represent an incredible work ethic in the classroom that our team possesses. Congrats!" said Head Coach Bruce Erickson on the athletes.
