Panther Women Rocket Into Mid-Major Poll

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The UNI women's basketball team rocketed into the CollegeInsider.com Women's Basketball Mid Major Poll Released Tuesday after a pair of wins over power-five opponents last week.
UNI jumped to the No. 15 spot in the poll after not begin ranked in last week's list. The 78-73 win over Mizzou on the road and the dominating 88-66 win over Iowa at the McLoed Center were enough to impress the voters to move UNI well into the mix.
The Panthers are one of three Missouri Valley Conference teams in the list. Drake sits third on the and Missouri State is fourth, although the Bears did receive a pair of first-place votes.
The undefeated Panthers return to action Sunday at 3 p.m. against NW Missouri State at the McLeod Center.
