The Panthers hold a 2-0 all-time record against Northern Colorado. UNI defeated the Bears 78-69 in the first meeting back in the 2011-12 season. The following season the Panthers won 76-59.

• UNI made 12 total three-pointers on 34 attempts against CSU Bakersfield, both season highs for the Panthers.
• The Panthers are averaging just 63 points per game through three games, the lowest average in the MVC while also surrendering just 54 points per game, also the lowest in the league.
• AJ Green was named to the Lou Henson Award Preseason Watch List. The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the nation's top Division I mid-major player.

UNI has made at least one 3-Pointer in 631 straight games – the longest active streak in the Missouri Valley Conference. The last time UNI failed to make a 3-point basket came Feb. 3, 2000, vs. Southern Illinois in a 72-58 Panther victory in the UNI-Dome. UNI went 0-for-4 from 3-point land vs. the Salukis in that contest.
