WATERLOO, Iowa—The UNI Panthers tennis squad heated up the Black Hawk Tennis Club as they defeated North Dakota 5-2.

Harri Proudfoot and Valentina Caro won the first match for the Panthers, defeating Allie Ochotorena and Zahra Finnigan 6-2 in the No. 2 doubles spot. Reghan Lynch and Claudia Toledo would battle to a tie-breaker in the No. 1 spot, pulling away 7-6 (7-5).

Daisy Phillips would start the Panthers off strong on the singles matches, defeating Ochotorena 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 4 singles match. Lynch would defeat Kaede Amano in the No. 1 singles spot, 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.

Clinching the victory for the Panthers in three sets was Proudfoot. Proudfoot defeated Preethi Kasilingam 6-0 in the first set, before falling 5-7 in the second set. Proudfoot battled back to win the match 6-3.

Caro defeated Masha Lobanova 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 in the No. 6 singles match.

Claudia Toledo would fall to Isa Sullivan in the No. 2 singles match, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3. Kate Merrick would fall to Zhara Finnigan in the No. 5 singles spot, 7-5, 7-5.
