CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI wrestling will face its highest ranked opponent this season on the road and host its first Big 12 dual of the season this week.

UNI will look to end Mizzou's 31-dual win streak that dates back to the Panthers' last win against the Tigers. UNI took down then-ranked No. 7 Missouri in Missouri's Hearnes Center Feb. 12, 2017, to secure the Mid-American Conference regular season title.

Missouri is coming off a sixth-place finish at last year's national championships. Mizzou sent nine qualifiers and crowned four All-Americans.

UNI leads the series record with 20-12 against Missouri and 5-2 against Air Force. UNI lost in the last meetings with both teams. Missouri won 23-9 in last season's dual. Air Forced edged out UNI, 19-18 back in 2013.

Jack Skudlarczyk will face two-time NCAA qualifier John Erneste, who is ranked in the top 10 of most national polls.

At 141 pounds, UNI's Josh Alber will face two-time All-American Jaydin Eireman, who was fourth last year and fifth in 2017 at the NCAA championships. The only bout between the two went to Eireman with a 12-6 decision in last year's dual on Feb. 17. Â

Bryce Steiert beat Missouri's Connor Flynn earlier this year with a 6-3 decision at the Cliff Keen Invite in the 165-pound class. Flynn was one of Missouri's nine NCAA qualifiers last year.

Three-time All-American Daniel Lewis handed UNI's Taylor Lujan his only loss by fall this year. Lujan was pinned in 1 minute, 54 seconds. Lewis also beat Lujan in a 13-10 decision at last year's dual. Lewis earned his first All-America honors at 165 pounds with a fourth-place finish at the 2016 NCAA championships. In 2017 he was sixth at the same weight before moving up to take fourth at 174 pounds in 2018.
