SPRINGFIELD, Missouri -Â The University of Northern Iowa men's golf team finished in sixth place following the final 18 holes of the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate.Â
Bradley took home the crown after a final score of (861), while Southern Illinois came in a close second place after finishing a few strokes behind at (864).
The Panthers shot a team score of (302) on day two, leaving them with a final score of (892) on the tournament after scores of (294) and (296) in the opening rounds.
Junior Marshal Lamb continued to lead the way for the Panthers as his 4-over (75) performance, which was accompanied by three birdies, earned him a share of 17th place overall.
Both Dayton Federley and Sam DeBartolo finished the day 3-over (74). Federley's final tournament score of (224) resulted in him tying for 28th place overall, while DeBartolo, who finished just a couple strokes behind at (226), tied for 35th place.Â
Aside from a birdie on hole 14, Jared Rowe struggled on day two as his 11-over (82) outing dropped him from 20th place to 44th.Â
Parker Oleson moved up to 57th place overall, which was a slight improvement from his 58th overall finish on day one. Oleson finished the day 8-over (79), leaving him with a final tournament score of (233).
UNI's individuals, Sam Sacquitne and Andrew Wood, ended the tournament nearly back to back at 56th and 58th place. Sacquitne's 2-over (73) finish in round three was aided by a team-high four birdies, putting his final score at (232). Wood, on the other hand, tallied up a final score of (234) after finishing 8-over (79) today.Â
NEXT UP: The Panthers will head over to Normal, Illinois, for the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate on April 1-2.Â
