IRVING, Texas - The University of Northern Iowa men's golf team finished in 16th place at the ORU/SFA Spring Break Invitational after stroking a final team score of (930) between the three-day battle.

North Texas took home the crown with a three-round team score of (290)-(290)-(285)—(865) while Rice, the runner up, finished just a few strokes behind at (868).

The Panthers saw a bright spot as they significantly improved from their team score of (320) in round one and (318) in round two with a (292) finish today.

Senior Sam DeBartolo lead UNI as his 1-over (72) finish in round three earned him a share of 22nd place overall. DeBartolo also capped three birdies on the day.

Dayton Federley had his best round on day three as his four birdie performance put him at 1-under (70) on the afternoon.

Like DeBartolo, redshirt junior Marshal Lamb also shot 1-over (72) in the final 18 holes. Lamb's day three performance, which included an eagle on hole seven, was a significant improvement from his first two rounds of (81) and (83).

Bunched together at 85th, 87th, 88th and 89th place is Andrew Wood, Sam Sacquitne, Parker Oleson and Jared Rowe. The squad combined for seven birdies in round three, with Wood, Oleson and Rowe each accounting for a pair.

NEXT UP: The Panthers will head over to Springfield, Missouri on March 19-20 for the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate.
