Tennis Set for Competition in Florida

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team is packing their bags for a four-day trip to Florida.
The Panthers will face Navy on March 12 in Bradenton, Florida. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m. Gisela Kemper was the only Panther from last years team to earn a win over Navy. Navy defeated the Panthers 5-2 last season.
On March 13, the Panthers will take on Connecticut at 3 p.m. The Panthers will wrap up their trip, facing Bryant University on March 16.
Last Time on the Court
The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team notched a victory against Cardinal Stritch, 5-2.
Two Panthers had tie-breakers in their singles matches. Claudia Toledo went the distance in the No. 2 singles spot, defeating Lisa Keller 3-6, 7-5, 6-1. Harri Proudfoot went the distance at the No. 3 singles spot to a tiebreaker, pulling away with a win 4-6, 6-2, 7-5. Gisela Kemper defeated Antonia Elze 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 1 singles spot. Savanna Hunt would earn a win for the Panthers in the No. 5 singles spot, defeating Chelsea Kelly 6-4, 6-4.
