Navy Sweeps UNI 7-0

BRADENTON, Fla. – The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team (4-4) was swept by Navy (14-5) 7-0.
The match began at 10:45 a.m. with Navy sweeping the doubles point. The match was paused as a rain delay swept into the area, resuming singles play at 4 p.m.
Gisela Kemper and Reghan Lynch competed at the No. 1 doubles, falling 6-2 to Navy's Amanda Keller and Kaylah Hodge. Harri Proudfoot and Valentina Caro fell at the No. 2 spot, 6-0. Savanna Hunt and Claudia Toledo were knocked off at the No. 3 doubles, 6-4.
Proudfoot would go the distance with Navy's Claudia Mackenzie in the No. 4 singles, falling 4-6, 6-1, 6-0. Lynch would go the distance at No. 2, before Navy's Ansofi Wreder pulled away, 3-6, 7-6 (7-3), 1-0 (10-0).
Kemper fell at the No. 1 singles spot, 6-2, 6-2. Toledo would fall to Navy's Josie Rogers in the No. 3 singles play, 6-3, 6-4. Caro fell 6-0, 6-4 in the No. 5 singles slot, while Hunt full 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 6 spot.
The Panthers fall to 0-2 all-time against Navy, as Navy posted a 5-2 win over the Panthers last season.
