THE PANTHERS

• The Panthers move to 3-4 on the season after dropping a game to Utah State on the road on Wednesday.

• The Panthers now shift their focus to the US Bank Stadium Classic in Minneapolis where they are scheduled to take on the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State for the 145 time in program history.

 • AJ Green has had an impressive start to the 2018-19 season, ranking third in the league in total points with 117 and fourth with 16.7 points per game.

• Three Panthers crack the top in free throw percentage, AJ Green ranks #2 (.913), Isaiah Brown #11 (.750) and Luke McDonnell #21 (.630)

SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
The Jackrabbits are 6-2 so far this season, going 2-1 in the Gulf Coast Showcase. The Jackrabbits are led by third year Head Coach T.J. Otzelberger. Otzelberger has gone 46-24 in two seasons with consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament, earning league Coach of the Year honors in 2017-18 while bringing the program's first-ever outright regular season Summit League title to Brookings.
Last year's Jackrabbit squad won a program record 28 games, finishing 28-7 on the year with a 13-1 mark in the Summit League. The Jacks were one of just three teams nationally to win 19 of their final 20 games entering the NCAA Tournament, cruising to the league's regular season and tournament title to earn the No. 12 seed in the West region of the NCAA Tournament.
South Dakota State's player to watch is senior forward Mike Daum. Daum has averaged 23.9 points per game and hauls in 10.3 rebounds per game.

Freshman AJ Green has had an impressive start to the 2018-19 season averaging over 16.7 points per game. The freshman guard ranks in the top ten field goals made, three point field goals made, points per game and ranks third in total points with 117.

The Panthers are fifth in the MVC in total rebounds with 257, averaging 36.7 rebounds per game. Dominating on both ends, the Panthers are third in the league with a rebounding margin of +1.7.
Trae Berhow leads  the way for the Panthers on the defensive side averaging 5.5 defensive rebounds per game and 45 total rebounds while Luke McDonnell brings in 2.33 offensive rebounds per game.Â
