
Panthers Fall to Jackrabbits in US Bank Stadium Classic

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota – The UNI men's basketball team participated in the US Bank Stadium Classic on Saturday night. Taking on the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State, the Panthers dropped the contest 82-50 and now stand at 3-5 on the season.
The Panthers struggled shooting the ball all game long, shooting just 31% from the field. Three point shooting was a problem all game long as a team the Panthers went 8-35 from beyond the arc. The difference came down low for the Jackrabbits, scoring 38 points in the paint.
Trae Berhow led the Panthers offensively, finishing the night with 19 points and seven total rebounds. Wyatt Lohaus and Tywhon Pickford each finished with six points while AJ Green and Isaiah Brown each finished with five.
Luke McDonnell led the Panthers with three assists while Trae Berhow, Isaiah Brown, Shandon Goldman, and Miles Wentzien each finished with two.
Defensively the Panthers recorded five total blocks and six steals. Senior Wyatt Lohaus was the only Panther to record more than one steal on the night.

After spending the last month on the road the Panthers will be back in the McLeod Center on Saturday, December 8, hosting the Spartans of the University of Dubuque. The Spartans are currently 4-3 on the season, playing the American Rivers Conference. The University of Dubuque is an NCAA Division III institution with a history of playing UNI. The Panthers lead the series 12-8 with the Spartans winning eight of the first eleven contents from 1914 to 1921.
