THE PANTHERS
• The Panthers went 2-1 in the Virgin Islands while taking part in the Paradise Jam last week. The Panthers lost to the University of Pennsylvania in the first round and then defeated Eastern Kentucky and Old Dominion.
• The Panthers will travel to Norfolk, Virginia to take on the Monarchs of Old Dominion on Friday. The back to back games marks the first time since the 2016-17 season the Panthers will play the same team in consecutive games.
• AJ Green earned All-Tournament Team honors at the Paradise Jam. Green led the Panthers in scoring, dropping 21 points against Penn and 23 against Eastern Kentucky and 15 against Old Dominion.
• AJ Green leads the conference in field goal attempts, made field goals, 3 point field goals, and 3 point field goals made.
• No surprise, AJ Green leads the conference in total points with 92 and ranks 56th in the NCAA
• Sophomore Trae Berhow has been a rebound machine for the Panthers, bringing in 6.4 per game, the second highest mark in the MVC.
• Luke McDonnell has brought down 2.4 offensive rebounds per game, third best in the conference.

The Panthers and Monarchs will play back to back games after competing in the Paradise Jam on Monday, November 19. The Panthers defeated the Monarchs in a low scoring game, winning 54-53. AJ Green played well at the Paradise Jam, recording over 20 points in there Panthers first two games and scored 15 against Old Dominion.

Freshman AJ Green has had an impressive start to the 2018-19 season averaging over 18 points per game, The freshman guard leads the conference in field goal attempts, made field goals, 3 point field goals, and 3 point field goals made. No surprise, AJ Green leads the conference in total points with 92 and ranks 56th in the NCAA in total points.

The Panthers currently lead the conference in rebounding, hauling in 192 total rebounds. That mark ranks 57th in the NCAA. Trae Berhow leads the way for the Panthers on the defensive side averaging 6.4 rebounds per game and 36 total rebounds while Luke McDonnell brings in 2.4 offensive rebounds per game.Â

OLD DOMINION
Old Dominion is led by Head Coach Jeff Jones. Jones has coached his teams to 13 postseason appearances, including a 1995 NCAA Elite 8, a 1993 NCAA Sweet 16 appearance, an NIT championship in 1992 and an NIT semifinal birth in 2015.
Jones has developed 54 players who have played or are still playing professionally, including six in the NBA (John Crotty, Cory Alexander, Jamal Robinson, Bryant Stith, Junior Burrough, and Courtney Alexander). Seven of his former assistant coaches went on to become head coaches. Additionally, three of Jones' players have played in the NFL.
The 2017-18 season, Jones' fifth at Old Dominion, was another excellent year for the Monarchs. ODU's 25-7 overall record and second place finish (15-3) in Conference USA was the third time in the last four years with 25 or more victories. The Monarchs rank second in Conference USA for most overall wins in past four years with a 96-40 (70.6%) record. In the past four seasons, he is 52-20 in conference play for a winning percentage of 72.2% and ranks second in the conference for most C-USA wins in past four years.
Ahmad Caver was named to the All-Conference USA First Team and All-Defensive Team. Senior guard Ahmad Carver can carve up opposing defenses averaging 19.2 points per game this season. Carver scored 24 points in the first game with the Panthers and will be a key matchup in their second game.
