UNI Swim and Dive Set For Championship-Style Events

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—The University of Northern Iowa women's swimming and diving team will compete at the Hawkeye Invitational (Diving) and the Kansas Classic (Swimming) Nov. 16-18.
Crystal Florman, Katie Taylor, and Moriah Ross all lead the rankings within the Missouri Valley Conference in their respective events.
For both invitationals, sessions will start at 10 a.m. with preliminary events first.
Kansas Classic
The Panthers swimming team will compete at the Kansas Classic, placing fourth at last year's event. Taylor was named the Most Valuable Swimmer at last year's event, also being named to the All-Invite Team. Florman was also named to the All-Invite Team.
Abby Meyer, Kelsey Ostrowski, Jordan McCullough, Kylie Engstrom, Ross, and Madison Rinaldi were all Panthers who had strong performances at the event.
The event will take place at the Capitol Federal Natatorium in Topeka, Kansas. This is the sixth year the event has been held. Kansas will host Iowa State, North Texas, Omaha, and Missouri Valley Conference member, Little Rock.

Hawkeye Invitational
The Panther divers will compete at the Hawkeye Invitational against Iowa, Minnesota, Grand Canyon, South Dakota, SMU, Iowa State, Nebraska, Omaha, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Kansas, and fellow Missouri Valley Conference team, Missouri State.
Live stats for divers will be provided. A video streaming service will also be offered through Hawkeye All-Access.
Last Time Out
The Panthers competed at the South Dakota Invite, competing against South Dakota, South Dakota State, and St. Cloud State. Taylor, Florman, Ross, and Engstrom all took first-place spots in the event.
