TERRE HAUTE, Indiana—Rain and cold weather couldn't stop the University of Northern Iowa Panthers from getting a 2-1 road win over Indiana State.

UNI began building their lead early as Jordyn Rolli earned her third goal of the season in the 16th minute. Claire Netten connected with Brynell Yount on a long pass, giving Yount her third goal this season in the 31st minute of play. Yount dribbled inside the box, shooting from 5 yards away.

With the Panthers leaded 2-0 at the break, Indiana State's Katie Wells lead an offensive attack as action resumed. Wells scored in the 51st minute of a rebounded shot that hit the crossbar. Â

Jami Reichenberger faced 9 shots from an attacking Indiana State offense, which led the teams in shots 18-9. Reichenberger had 4 saves total in the game, which was faced with cold and rainy conditions.

"Proud of the battle our girls gave tonight in miserable playing conditions," said head coach Bruce Erickson following the match. "They fought and battled against a talented Indiana State team and did everything to win, including scoring two goals off of very good attacking sequences."
