Panther Duo Grab Top-25 Finishes At ORU Shootout

FINAL RESULTS
TULSA, Okla. – Two Panthers earned top-25 showings on Tuesday, as the University of Northern Iowa women's golf team wrapped up play at the ORU Shootout.
UNI's freshmen duo of Hannah Bermel and Emily Snelling tied for 22nd overall, after posting a 15-over par, 231 for the tournament. Bermel fired off a 3-over par (75) on Tuesday, while Snelling shot 6-over par (78).
The Panthers finished 10th overall at the Oral Roberts-hosted event, following a 63-over par, 927 for the event. UNI turned in a 22-over par, 310 in Tuesday's final round. The Panthers finished ahead of Missouri State, Incarnate Word, McInan CC, McNeese State, Stephen F. Austin, UT Arlington and Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Lamar won the event, after posting a 32-over par, 896.
Freshman Sydney Eaton finished Tuesday's final 18 with a 7-over par (79), to tie for 36th overall. The senior pair of Maddie Bertsch and Paige Van Dyk each earned a tie for 59th overall, after shooting a 22-over par, 238 in Tulsa.

UNI returns to the links on Oct. 9, when the Panthers travel to Des Moines, Iowa for the Drake Tournament at the Echo Valley Country Club.
