Cedar Falls, Iowa--The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team tied today against North Dakota, 1-1.
The Panthers (7-1-1) got on the board first in the 22nd minute on a goal from senior Sarah Brandt. Brandt would be the only Panthers to score today and nabbed her fifth goal this season. Jamie Althiser assisted Brandt on the play.
North Dakota (2-3-3) would tie the game up in the 46th minute on a goal from Katie Moller. Moller was assisted by Mimi Eiden.
The Panthers outshot North Dakota 22-8. North Dakota's Catherine Klein saved the ball 11 times.
North Dakota was flagged with yellow cards. Two players received yellow cards throughout the duration of the game.
The Panthers open their MVC schedule at home on Saturday, Sept. 23, playing host to Illinois State.
NOTES:
This was the first time this season that UNI has gone into double-overtime. The last double-overtime match was against Drake (10/11/16).
