UNI Women's Golf Places 5th at MVC Championship

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Panther team of Allison Rolinger, Maddie Bertsch, Paige Van Dyk, Sarah McMichael, and Jenna Snyder finished in 5th place with a score of 947 at the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship on Monday. This is UNI's highest team finish since placing third at the 2012 MVC Championship.
Senior Allison Rolinger finished in 8th place and became the first UNI golfer to place in the top 10 at the MVC Women's Golf Championship since 2014 when Sarah Boss tied for 7th. Rolinger wrapped up the championship with a total of 228. She had 32 pars and 5 birdies over the 54-hole competition.
Maddie Bertsch ended up with 24 pars and eight birdies to land her tied for 11th. Bertsch had a three day total of 235.
Following close behind Bertsch, Paige Van Dyk finsihed the tournament tallying a grand total of 238. She placed tied for 18th after shooting 33 pars and one birdie for the 54-holes.
Shooting her lowest round in the tournament on day three, Sarah McMichael ended the tournament with a total of 246. McMichael placed in 36th place.
Rounding out the Panther team was Jenna Snyder with a total of 268 and placing in 50th.
Missouri State took the championship for their third all-time championship with a score of 913. They were 20 strokes ahead of 2nd place winners, Wichita State, who shot a total of 933.
