The Basics: The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball program heads into postseason play as the No. 2 seed in the 2017 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament. The Panthers will play the winner of Game 2 (Bradley vs. Loyola) on Friday, March 10 at 6 p.m. in the iWireless Center.

• Tanya Warren holds an overall record of 184-137 in her 10th season at UNI, making her the all-time wins leader. She passed former head coach Tony DiCecco, who had 183 wins.
• UNI ranks 10th in NCAA Division I women's basketball in turnovers per game, only averaging 12.0 per game.
• UNI is the only team in the Valley with two wins over Top-25 RPI teams this season. UNI has faced eight teams in the Top-100 RPI.

About the Opponents: UNI completed the regular season sweep against both Bradley and Loyola. Bradley currently has three players providing integral points to their stat line, with Leti Lerma (11.6 ppg, 10.6 rebounds pg), Vanessa Markert (10.9 ppg, 5.2 rebounds pg) and Anneke Schlueter (10.6 ppg, 2.4 rebounds pg) all averaging double-figures. For Loyola, Katie Salmon has been key on both ends of the court, averaging 8.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game, starting all 29 for the Ramblers.
Smarty Pants: Madison Weekly won MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in back-to-back seasons, becoming just the third player in Valley history and second in UNI history to accomplish the feat. She also earned first-team honors for the third year in a row, becoming the 10th player in MVC history to gain three scholar-athlete first-team selections. Ellie Herzberg was named second-team Scholar-Athlete while Angie Davison received honorable mention recognition.
Victory Numbers: Head coach Tanya Warren secured her 184th career coaching victory as a Panthers on March 4, 2017 when UNI defeated Missouri State, 65-64. She is now the all-time wins leader at UNI, passing former head coach Tony DiCecco, who had 183 from 1995-2006.
