
Men's Golf Completes Spring Opener in Dallas

DALLAS, Texas - The University of Northern Iowa men's golf team completed its spring debut at the Bob Sitton Invitational.
The Panthers finished 24th as a team with a three-round total of 934 on a par-71 course at TPC Four Seasons golf course.
Senior Dustin Atkinson finished the three-day tournament tied for 97th. He had four birdies throughout the tournament. He also shot 31 pars in the tournament. Atkinson's totals for each day were 76-77-81, for a total of 234 (+21).
Sophomore Davis Sutton also tied for 97th in the tournament. He had one birdie each day for a total of three birdies on the tournament. He also had 31 pars throughout the tournament. Sutton finished the tournament with totals of 79-80-75, for a total of 234 (+21).
Coming in close behind, was junior Sam DeBartolo who tied for 103rd. He had two birdies on each of the last two days in the tournament, totaling for four birdies throughout. He also had 31 pars throughout the tournament. DeBartolo finished the tournament with day totals of 81-74-80, with a total of 235 (+22).
Senior David Spengler finished with one stroke more, coming in tied for 106th in the tournament. He had five birdies throughout the tournament with two coming in the final day. He had 25 pars in the three-day tournament. Spengler finished the tournament with day totals of 75-79-82, with a total of 236 (+23).
Redshirt sophomore Marshal Lamb finished the tournament tied for 111th through three days. He had six birdies throughout the tournament including three on the first day. He had 23 pars through the three days. Lamb finished the tournament with day totals of 79-83-79, with a total of 241 (+28).
Next up for the Panthers will be the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate (Twin Oaks CC) in Springfield, Missouri on March 20-21.
Arkansas State won the team title with a three-round total of 852 (288-282-282). Arkansas State's Zan Luka Stirn won medalist honors with round of 69-68-69 (206) and finished 7-under par.
