CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – No. 18 UNI wrestling fell to 9-3 overall with a 27-13 loss to No. 15 Oklahoma today.
A Sooner major decision to open the dual at 125 pounds, put UNI behind, 4-0. No. 10 Josh Alber was able to get the Panthers on the board with a 7-0 decision. He extended his streak to eight wins that dates back to the Southern Scuffle Jan. 2.
Oklahoma took the next four matches before No. 10 Taylor Lujan gave the Panthers a win streak.
Lujan grabbed a 17-7 major decision over DaWaylon Barnes of Oklahoma at 174 pounds. No. 14 Drew Foster got a 10-3 decision over two-time NCAA qualifier Matt Reed. Both Lujan and Foster extended their win streaks to four matches.
Holschlag picked up his fourth win at 197 pounds with a 9-5 decision over Brad Johnson. Holschlag is now 14-6 overall, with most of those wins at 184 pounds.

PANTHERS IN MCLEOD
UNI wrestling returned to the McLeod Center for the first time since 2008.
Upon the McLeod Center's opening in November 2006, the Panthers changed venues to wrestle their 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons in the McLeod Center. UNI moved back to the West Gym starting the 2008-09 season.
The Panthers nearly packed the venue Nov. 21, 2006, when 5,831 fans showed up to watch UNI take on Iowa.
UNI won the last four duals competed in the McLeod Center, ending with a 44-6 victory over North Dakota State on Feb. 24, 2008.
