CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI stayed perfect in the MAC Friday night with wins at six weights to beat Buffalo, 22-16.

UNI improves to 10-3, 7-0 in the MAC while Buffalo falls to 9-6, 3-4 in the MAC.

It was the second week in a row unranked Jacob Holschlag knocked off the 18^th-ranked wrestler in the nation at 197 pounds. Holschlag beat No. 18 James Benjamin in a 4-2 decision. Last week, he beat then-ranked No. 18 Brad Johnson of Oklahoma.

At 125 pounds, Dylan Peters returned to the mat for the first time since Jan. 8. He notched five takedowns to win by 19-3 tech fall in 5 minutes, 54 seconds.

Josh Alber's eight-match win streak came to end when he was edged out by No. 15 Bryan Lantry in his first MAC dual loss at 133 pounds.

At 149 pounds. No. 9 Max Thomsen drove up riding time to 3:34 to start the third period. He added another 34 seconds in the third to go on to win 6-0 with 4:08 in riding time.

UNI lost the 157-pound match before going on a streak to win the remaining four contested matchups before forfeiting at heavyweight.

Taylor Lujan had 10 takedowns for his fourth tech fall of the season. He improved to 23-4 over with 13 of those wins with bonus points.

UNI will close out its regular season with a dual at No. 7 Missouri. With both teams undefeated, the regular-season conference championship is on the line.
