Panthers bring win streak home for Iowa State

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa--The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team looks to extend their winning streak to four, when they take on in-state rivals, Iowa State on Sat. Feb. 25.

Action will begin at 11 a.m. at the Black Hawk Tennis Club in Waterloo.

The Panthers return after a successful weekend in North Dakota, winning all three matches. The Panthers defeated South Dakota State, 7-0, on Friday night. The Panthers were in action twice on Saturday, netting a 5-2 win over Montana in the morning and a 6-1 win over North Dakota that evening.

Jieke Stroobant, the senior from Belgium, was named the MVC women's tennis player of the week on Tuesday. Stroobant went 2-1 in singles matches and 2-1 in doubles matches last weekend in North Dakota.
