Panthers Wrap-up Successful Road Trip

GRAND FORKS, ND--The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team finished their trip in North Dakota, winning 6-1 over North Dakota tonight.
Jieke Stroobant won in the No. 1 singles spot, defeating North Dakota's Sophie Allen-Fisher 6-2, 7-6, (7-2). Astrid Santos competed in the No. 3 singles, netting a 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) win over Preethi Kasilingam. Gisela Kemper defeated Faith Lee 6-1, 7-6 (7-3). Sydney Wolfe and Eve Small would go all the way in their sets. Wolfe would eventually defeat Alex Revenig 6-7 (8-10), 7-6 (7-2), 1-0 (16-14). Small nabbed the final Panther victory in the singles, defeating Alysse Nakasato 6-1, 6-7 (6-8), 1-0 (10-7).
Mimi Yunker would defeat Elvira Lopez in three sets, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-2.
Wolfe and Stroobant would post a 6-2 victory over Allen-Fisher and Nakasato in No. 2 doubles. Kemper and Small nabbed the other Panther victory in the No. 3 doubles, netting a 7-5 victory over Yunker and Revenig.
Lee and Kasilingam would net a 6-3 decision over Lopez and Santos in the No. 1 doubles spot.
The Panthers will face in-state rival Iowa State on Feb. 25 at 11 a.m.
