GRAND FORKS, North Dakota--The University of Northern Iowa women's tennis team netted a 7-0 win over the South Dakota State Jackrabbits.

Elvira Lopez and Astrid Santos paired together in the No. 1 doubles to net a 6-1 win over South Dakota State's Iasmin Rosa and Morgan Brower. Jieke Stroobant and Sydney Wolfe competed in the No. 2 doubles, defeating Maria Velazco and Emily Van Dijk 6-1. In No. 3 doubles, Gisela Kemper and Eve Small teamed up to defeat Molly Crum and Elif Gabb 6-0.

In the No. 1 singles, Stroobant would have the longest match of the day, going all three set against Rosa, 5-7, 7-5, 17-15 (1-0). In the No. 2 singles, Lopez defeated Velazco, 6-2, 6-0.

In the No. 3 singles, Santos netted a 6-4, 6-3 win over Brower. Kemper netted a win over Crum, 6-4, 6-1.

Wolfe competed in the No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-2. Small rounded the Panthers out in the No. 6 singles, nabbing a 6-2, 6-3 decision over Gabb.

The Panthers return to action tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. against Montana. The Panthers will also face North Dakota at 5 p.m. tomorrow.
