UNI Grabs the Win Against SDSU

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -Â The University of Northern Iowa Panther softball team took the win against South Dakota State University 3-2 on Saturday night at the UNI-Dome in its fourth game of the UNI Classic. This brought UNI's record to 3-1 and SDSU 1-3.
Both teams were scoreless until the third inning, when SDSU scored its first run in the top of the third and scored its second run in the top of the fourth.
UNI remained scoreless until the bottom of the sixth. Alyssa Buchanan hit a two-run home run to deep right-center to bring in Courtney Krodinger to tie up the game 2-2. Macey Wolfe hit a home run to center immediately after Buchanan to give UNI a lead 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth.
UNI will close out the UNI-Dome Classic on Sunday against Nebraska-Omaha at 2:45 p.m
