CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa Panther softball team fell to the Wisconsin Badgers 1-0 on Friday night in its second game of the UNI Classic.

Bailey Lange pitched a complete game and was able to hold the Badgers to a single run.

The Panther offense had a total of four hits. In the bottom of the third, Brittney Roby singled to center field but never reached home. In the bottom of the fourth Alyssa Buchanan made it to first base after a battle at the plate.

In the fifth, Anna Varriano singled on a bunt and was advanced to second by Brittney Krodinger. The inning ended before she could make it to home plate. Finally, in the bottom of the seventh opened up with Macey Wolfe hitting a shot to center, earning her a trip to first base. After Wolfe's hit, the Panthers were three up three down to end the game.

UNI will continue play on Saturday against Montana at 2:45 p.m. and South Dakota State at 9 p.m. They will close out the UNI-Dome Classic on Sunday against Nebraska-Omaha at 2:45 p.m.
