UNI Wrestling: Six Panthers Crack NCAA Top-15

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Six Panthers are ranked in the top 15 in the first NCAA rankings released today.
UNI is led by redshirt freshman Max Thomsen at 149 pounds.
The team moved up four spots after a win over No. 13 Central Michigan last weekend. UNI is ranked 18th in the nation in the latest NWCA poll.
Panthers in the ranks:
The Panthers head to Ames, Iowa, to take on the Iowa State Cyclones at 7 p.m. tonight. They return to the West Gym to host Eastern Michigan at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Panther fans looking for NCAA tickets may apply with UNI online at UNIPanthers.com. This year's national tournament will be March 16-18, 2017, in St. Louis.
Wrestling teams interested in attending the Oklahoma vs. UNI dual at noon Feb. 5 are encouraged to email their rosters to MilkeR@uni.edu. All team members and coach will get free admission to the dual held in the McLeod Center.
