The Basics: The University of Northern Iowa women's basketball program will makes its return to the McLeod Center for a pair of games, starting with Indiana State on Friday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m.

• Hannah Schonhardt leads the league in defensive rebounds this season, racking up 109 through 17 games (6.4 per game).
• Madison Weekly is ranked in the top-35 in NCAA Division I basketball in assist/turnover ratio (2.46). She has 69 assists and only 28 turnovers, ranking her first in the MVC.
• UNI ranks ninth in the country in turnovers per game, only averaging 12.2 a game.
• Head coach Tanya Warren holds an overall record of 175-134 in her 10th season at UNI.

About the Sycamores: Indiana State enters the game against the Panthers 10-6 overall and 4-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Sycamores are sitting in third place in league standings behind Drake and UNI with their only loss coming against Evansville (L, 57-41). Indiana State is led by Ashley Taia who is averaging 13.8 points per game overall and 17.2 points per game in league play. Indiana State is first in the league in scoring defense, only allowing 57 points per game.

Leading Scorer: Madison Weekly has scored in the 20-point range six times this season, including her 23 points in UNI's win over Bradley (1/15). It was the 27th time in her career to reach the mark. A Habit for Herzberg: Sophomore Ellie Herzberg has now scored in double-figures in three consecutive games and in seven of the last eight. She scored 11 points in UNI's win over Bradley (1/15).
Maahs Doubles Up: Megan Maahs turned in one of the best performances of her young career at UNI against Bradley (1/15), scoring 11 points, adding a career-high 12 rebounds and a career-high six blocks. It was her first-career double-double in the Purple and Old Gold and was also just three blocks shy of tying the school record of nine in a game (Cassie Hager, 2006).
Luck in the Coliseum: UNI either tied or broke three Renaissance Coliseum records in their win over Bradley (1/15). Megan Maah's six blocks tied a record for blocks in a game and UNI's nine blocks tied the arena record for blocks in a game by a team. The Panthers also now hold the two lowest turnover totals by an opponent in Renaissance Coliseum. They finished with six on Jan. 15, 2017 and eight against Bradley in 2014.
Dimes: Madison Weekly is currently averaging 4.1 assists per game, ranking No. 8 all-time at UNI in single-season assist average. She is also No. 3 in the Valley with 69 total.
In the Valley: With UNI's 6-0 start to Missouri Valley Conference play, it gives head coach Tanya Warren 175 career wins, moving her to No. 8 all-time in Valley history. She passed Connie Yori of her alma mater Creighton, who had 170 from 1993-2002. Warren is also tied for No. 7 in career Valley wins with 109 along with Yori.
