"Our priority throughout the process was to find someone who wasn't just a successful coach, but a great person and with Jeremy we got both in abundance," Logan said. "His experience, passion for the game, enthusiasm and dedication to the student-athlete experience on and off the field make him a phenomenal addition to the Panther soccer program. The team shares my excitement in welcoming Jeremy to Cedar Falls and to UNI."
Clevenger had served as the head women's soccer coach at Western State College, in Gunnison, Colo., the past four seasons. He was the first coach in the Mountaineer program's history and guided the squad from a 1-14 mark in its inaugural 2012 season to a 7-7-4 record in 2015.
In 2015, Clevenger guided WSC to a pair of wins over ranked Division II foes in No. 20 UC-Colorado Springs and No. 22 Metro State. The Mountaineers had nine student-athletes named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference academic honor roll. WSCU saw four players earned all-RMAC honors.
He was also on the staff on an inaugural season for both the men's and women's soccer program at Fort Hays State in 2011. He was responsible for startup of the programs, recruiting, travel and practice. The Tigers had two women earn All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association honors and two men earn a spot on the NSCAA All-Central Region First Team.
In 2010, Clevenger was the head women's assistant soccer coach at Houston Baptist University. The Huskies were the Great West Conference champions and had four all-tournament selections during the conference championships. He was also the primary recruiting and travel coordinator and had responsibilities for practice and game coaching.
Clevenger was member of the coaching staff at Baylor University in 2009, and helped lead the Bears to their first winning season since 2000. Baylor advanced to its first Big 12 Tournament since 2006 and was second in the conference for its goals against average.
Clevenger spent a season at Ottawa University as the head assistant coach for the men's and women's teams. The Braves had two women on the NAIA All-America team and finished as the runner-up in the conference tournament. He was the primary recruiting coordinator for both teams, monitored academic progress and was involved in alumni relations and fundraising.
Clevenger was a graduate assistant coach at the University of Central Missouri and was part of a staff that led the Jennies to a share of the MIAA title in 2007. The Jennies advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II National Tournament and were ranked as high as fifth in the nation.
Clevenger entered the coaching ranks as an assistant men's soccer coach at San Joaquin Delta College. He was involved in practice and game coaching for the NJCAA program in California.
A native of Stockton, California, Clevenger boasts a NSCAA Coaching Diploma and Regional Goalkeeper Diploma, and has a United States Soccer Federation Coaching License. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in kinesiology from San Francisco State University and a master's degree in sports and business administration from Central Missouri.
