CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI wrestling will start the new year at a tournament new to the program.

Ten teams ranked in NWCA's top 25 (including UNI) will be competing at the Southern Scuffle set for Jan. 1-2.
Â
"It's as close to our conference tournament," said head coach Doug Schwab. "Most of our guys are going to have four to five matches to win the title. It's as close to the national tournament as you're going to get during the season. I think for us, to put ourselves on the national scene too."
