NORMAL, Ill. - The University of Northern Iowa volleyball squad scored a 3-1 road win at Illinois State on Friday. The Panthers won by set scores of 21-25, 25-14, 25-14, 25-21.

It marks the fourth straight win for the Panthers and their 12th win in the last 13 matches. UNI is 22-8 overall and 13-4 in Missouri Valley Conference play. Illinois State falls to 16-13 overall and 9-8 in league action.

Piper Thomas led the way with 17 kills and 10 blocks while hitting .419 in the four-set win. It is the first double-double of her career.

Bri Weber posted 15 kills and 13 digs, while Amie Held chipped in with 12 kills and 14 digs. Heather Hook also added a double-double with 50 assists and 16 digs. Kendyl Sorge contributed with a match-high 24 digs.

UNI hit .222 for the match and limited Illinois State to an .082 hitting percentage.

The Panthers will close the regular season Saturday at Indiana State. First serve is set for 6 p.m. (CT) in Terre Haute, Ind.
