TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The University of Northern Iowa volleyball squad won for the 13th time in 14 tries with a 3-0 sweep of the Indiana State Sycamores on Saturday. The Panthers won by scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.

UNI (23-8 overall, 14-4 MVC) had three players record double-doubles as the Panthers also won their fifth straight match to close the regular season. Amie Held (14 kills, 16 digs), Bri Weber (13 kills, 12 digs) and Heather Hook (39 assists, 13 digs) each posted double-doubles against the Sycamores.

UNI scored the first nine points of the match and posted a 25-21 victory in the opening set that featured a combined 20 attack errors by both squads. UNI had 12 kills and 12 errors, while Indiana State had seven kills and eight errors.

The Panthers used a .425 hitting percentage and a 70-percent sideout effort in the second set to score a 25-16 victory. UNI secured 23 kills in the second set to go against six attack errors.

UNI finished off the three-set sweep with a 25-23 win. UNI held a 24-18 lead and had to take both of its timeouts as Indiana State rallied to within 24-23.

UNI will play host to the 2016 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Nov. 24-26 in the McLeod Center.

UNI will be the No. 3 seed and will take on No. 6-seeded Loyola in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. No. 4-seeded Southern Illinois will take on No. 5-seeded Illinois State in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 5 p.m. Missouri State is the No. 1 seed and Wichita State is the No. 2 seed.

NOTES: Held recorded her 18th double-double this season and the 32nd of her career ... Weber posted her 15th double-double this year and the 33rd of her two-year career ... Hook secured her 12th double-double this season and the 12th of her career ... head coach Bobbi Petersen moved to 31-3 all-time vs. Indiana State.
