
Women's Golf Finishes Fourth at Creighton Classic

OMAHA, Neb. - The University of Northern Iowa women's golf team completed the Creighton Classic at the Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha, Nebraska on Tuesday.
The team finished in fourth place overall. The Panthers had a round one score of 317 and a round two score of 313 for a two-day total of 630.
Senior Allison Rolinger started the day off strong with two straight birdies on No. 1 and No. 2. She continued her streak late in the game with two more birdies on No. 15 and No. 16. Rolinger had a total of five birdies and 17 pars over the two rounds. On day one, Rolinger finished tied for 18th but made a big leap during day two to finish tied for fifth. Rolinger also tied her season best round with a score of 75 on the second round.
Junior Maddie Bertsch was also tied for 18th at the end of round one but worked her way up to finish tied for 11th. She had a total of 21 pars, with 14 of those being on the second day alone. Bertsch tied her season-best score on the second round with a score of 77.
Junior Paige Van Dyk ended the two rounds with 18 pars and two birdies. She started the day being tied for 12th and ended the tournament being tied for 17th.
Sophomore Sarah McMichael topped off the leaders ending the two rounds tied for 20th after starting the day tied for seventh. McMichael had a total of 19 pars and three birdies over the two days.
