MINNEAPOLIS--Gisela Kemper and Elvira Lopez will each move on in singles competition at the ITA Central Regional competition.
Gisela Kemper defeated Darby Rosette of Creighton, 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 before winning against Vasanti Shinde of Nebraska, 7-5, 6-1.
Elvira Lopez defeated Anelisse Torrico of Missouri State, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (1).
Sydney Wolfe fell to Callaghan Adams of SIUE, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5, and will compete in the consolation bracket.
Savanna Hunt fell to Serena Nash (17) of Oklahoma, 6-0, 6-2. Hunt will compete in the consolation bracket.
Jieke Stroobant fell to Ana Oparenovic (4) of Arkansas, 6-1, 6-1. Stroobant will compete in the consolation bracket
Astrid Santos defeated Michelle Lo of Nebraska-Omaha, 6-3, 5-7, retired. Santos fell to Ally McKenzie of St. Louis, 4-6, 6-0, 6-2.
Doubles action will begin tomorrow at 9 a.m.
