UNI Rolls Over North Dakota, 97-51

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - The University of Northern Iowa men's basketball team rolled to a 97-51 road win over the University of North Dakota on Saturday.
UNI (4-1 overall) was led in scoring by Paul Jesperson's career-high 18 points. Klint Carlson knocked in a career-high 15 points. Bennett Koch also collected a career-high 12 points to go along with eight rebounds. Overall, five Panthers found their way into double-figure scoring against UND.
The 46-point win tied for the seventh-largest margin of victory in school history.
UNI led 54-20 at the break after shooting 70 percent from the field in the first 20 minutes. UNI shot 61.1 percent for the game, which included 12-of-19 (63.2 percent) from 3-point land.
UNI will be back in action on Monday at 7 p.m. in the McLeod Center vs. North Texas.
NOTES: UNI head coach Ben Jacobson improved to 7-0 all-time vs. his alma mater ... UNI has made at least one 3-pointer in 500 straight games - the longest active streak in the Missouri Valley Conference ... Matt Bohannon extended his streak of making at least one 3-pointer in his 15th consecutive game ... UNI out-rebounded UND, 43-30.
