
Missouri State Snaps UNI's 5-Match Win Streak, 2-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team saw its five-match win streak come to an end as Missouri State tallied a 2-0 victory over the Panthers at Plaster Field on Saturday.
UNI (8-8-2 overall, 2-3 MVC) was unable to scratch a goal against the Bears despite firing 11 shots. Missouri State's Bethany Smith scored the first goal of the contest at the 52:17 mark on a pass from Christine Cross. The Bears added a second goal from Shelby Stewart at the 85:33 mark with the assist going to Jessica Teahan.
The Panthers' Erin Zaideman recorded three saves in the contest but took the loss to fall to 4-4-1 on the year.
UNI will be back in action Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa, against the Drake Bulldogs to close out the regular season.
