
Panthers Finish Day 1 At Iowa Invitational

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa Panthers sit in seventh place after day one of competition at the Iowa Invitational with 32 points. The University of Denver holds the top-spot with 314 points.
Chelsea Hartman was the lone Panther to compete in an individual event in the finals for Day 1. She finished in 22nd place in the 500 freestyle. Hartman swam a season-best time of 5:10.88.
The 200 freestyle relay team finished with a time of 1:40.17. The quartet of Stephanie Frederick, MacKenzie Smith, Sarah Hedeen and Josie Itzen finished in 12th place.
Frederick joined forces with Natalie Johnson, Caryn Knight and Jaime Pearson to finish 12th in the 400 medley relay. The team finished with a time of 4:02.77.
