Ozzie Adams joined the UNI staff ahead of the 2025 season and will primarily be responsible for developing outfielders and assisting with the hitter development program. His in-game duties include defensive positioning and serving as the offensive bench coach. Day-to-day responsibilities will encompass opponent scouting, evaluating and recruiting future student-athletes, as well as coordinating softball camps and team travel.
As an offensive coach, Adams aided in the development of one of the program's top offensive units to date. The Panthers broke single-season records with 79 home runs, 244 walks, and 94 stolen bases. The Panthers ranked ninth in the nation with 1.58 home runs per game and 10th in the nation with 244 total walks. UNI led the Valley in multiple statistical categories including double plays (20), double plays per game (0.4), home runs (79), home runs per game (1.58), on-base percentage (.403), RBIs per game (6.02), scoring (6.42), slugging percentage (.516), stolen bases per game (1.88), total runs (321), total stolen bases (94), and total walks (244). Individually, five Panthers were named to the All-MVC teams including Kate Lappe, Kylee Sanders, Skylar Benesh, and Addison McElrath on the First Team and Anna Wischnowski on the Second Team. Lappe was named UNI's fourth Player of the Year in five seasons after a dominant season that saw her lead the league in batting average (.433), home runs (19), on-base percentage (.542), slugging percentage (.915), and total bases (129). Lappe was 12th in the nation with her .915 slugging percentage. Kylee Sanders was fourth in the nation with 2.73 assists per game. Lappe and McElrath were named to the MVC All-Tournament Team while first baseman Ella Smithson was named to the All-Defensive Team. The NFCA All-Region First Team featured Kate Lappe while the Second Team included Kylee Sanders and the Third Team named Addison McElrath.
