2007-08: Captured the 184-pound NCAA West Regional title to earn his first trip to the NCAA Championships ... notched a 6-4 win over Air Force's Jacob Devlin to win the regional title ... placed third at the Loras Open (11/10) ... took sixth at the Kaufman-Brand Open (11/17) ... first-team all-Western Wrestling Conference selection ... secured 12 total victories on the season.
2006-07: Redshirted ... tallied four wins as an unattached wrestler in the open tournament portion of the season.
High School: A 2006 graduate of Independence High School ... captured his first state championship by taking the Class 2A 171-pound title ... finished off his senior campaign with a record of 48-1 ... a three-time state placer as he placed sixth in the state as a sophomore and fourth in the state as a junior ... tallied a career record of 142-33 ... carried a 3.2 GPA and earned his team's Iron Man Award as a junior ... high school coach: Mike Doyle.
