Personal: Daughter of Sarah Jones and Jeff Schroeder ... plans to major in mathematics.
“Katie is a very long and athletic middle blocker that will add size and quickness to that position,” UNI head coach Bobbi Petersen said. “She is very versatile and could also help us at either pin position. Katie brings a big presence at the net and has a great jump that will assist with her effectiveness both offensively and defensively. She moves well laterally, has a fast arm, and the ability to have a strong press on the block. Katie has a huge upside and we are looking forward to working with her and watching her grow and develop over the next few years.”
