Steph Gale

Steph Gale served her first season as graduate assistant coach for the UNI women's soccer team in 2013. Gale will continue to serve as head coach James Price's graduate assistant for the women's soccer team in 2014.
Gale received her BTEC National Diploma in Sports Development-Coaching & Fitness) from Northampton College in England. She has a bachelors degree in Advertising with a minor in Physical Education from Murray State University. Gale is currently pursuing a masters degree at UNI in Kinesiology with an emphasis in sport psychology.
Steph's playing career started when she played for the Center of Excellence for Northampton Town from the age of u11 to u16. During her age 17 and 18 seasons she played for the Northampton Ladies.
At 19 Gale moved to America, where she played at Iowa Central Community College for two years. During her two years at ICCC she received 1st team All-conference honors freshman and sophomore year. Gale was top goal scorer freshman year with 15 goals and led her team in assists with 11. As a sophomore she was also top goal scorer with 15 goals. After her sophomore season she received 2nd team All-American honors and female athlete of the year for ICCC. After graduating from Iowa Central Gale transferred to Murray State where she finished out her playing career.
Currently Gale holds a USSF (United States Soccer Federation) 'E' license and a FA (Football Association) level 1 coaching license. Presently Gale is in the process of acquiring her 'D' license.

“Steph brings some great playing and life experiences to our program, and will be a tremendous role model and mentor for our players. She will bring fresh and varied ideas to training, and will provide support for our off the field endeavors.”
