Katie Schulte (Ed.D, ATC, LAT) joined the Panther staff in 2017 and serves as the head athletic trainer for the UNI Volleyball and UNI Swimming and Diving teams. Katie has previously served as the head athletic trainer for the UNI Women's Basketball team through the 2019-2020 season, while also overseeing Women's Soccer and Softball. Katie teaches in the athletic training education program at UNI and mentors graduate assistant athletic trainers.

Before UNI, Schulte served as an assistant athletic trainer at Missouri State University from 2014-2016 with the Lady Bears' Women's Basketball team and supervised Women's Soccer, Softball, and Track and Field. She also served as clinical preceptor in the athletic training education program and drug testing procedures.

Prior to Missouri State, Schulte served as graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of South Dakota from 2010-2014. From 2012-2014 Schulte worked primarily with the Women's Basketball and Football programs and from 2010-2012 with the Volleyball, Swimming/Diving, and Tennis teams.

Schulte completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Iowa State University in 2010, and continued to pursue graduate degrees at the University of South Dakota with a Masters of Arts in Kinesiology and Sport Science in 2012 and Doctorate of Education in Educational Administration, Adult and Higher Education in 2014.
