FALL 2021: Appeared in all 12 games … recorded 70 tackles, including a season-high 12 against South Dakota … forced two fumbles on the year and recovered another … eighth in the conference in passes defended with eight ... named to the MVFC Honor Roll.
SPRING 2021: Started in the season opener and recorded five total tackles before going down with a season-ending injury.

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football at Grundy Center High School for Brent Thoren … two-time all-state first-team selection … two-time all-district Player of the Year … was the Marshalltown Times Republican all-class area Player of the Year … named the 2016 River Battle Bowl Defensive MVP … was also selected to play for the North squad in the Iowa Shrine Bowl … also lettered in track and field, basketball and baseball.
PERSONAL: From Grundy Center, Iowa ... son of Brad and Jennifer Flater … has one younger sister, Brooke ... majoring in construction management with a minor in marketing and coaching.
