JUNIOR (2017)
First season competing with UNI cross country… Finished 30th overall with a time of 19:00.8 in the Hawkeye Invite 6K (9/1).
HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered all four years in cross country and track and field at Monticello High School… Was a three-time All-Conference, two-time All-District and two-time All-State honoree in cross country… Finished fifth at the state meet in 2013… Helped his team to cross country state championships in 2011, 2012 and 2013… Earned All-Conference, All-District and All-State in 2011 and 2013, including the distinction of Elite All-State in 2013… Was a state champion in the 1,600 meter medley and the 800 meters in 2013, along with the 4X800 meter relay team that set a new school record his senior season… Helped his team to a state title in 2013, breaking the state meet record of most points scored… Also lettered in wrestling.
PERSONAL
Son of Brian and Roberta Ahlrichs… Has six siblings, Bridget, Samantha, Sophia, Hannah, Harrison and Lydia… Was part of the High Honor Roll all four years of high school along with the National Honor Society and the National Council of Youth Leadership… Majoring in exercise science.
