SENIOR (2020-21): Played in 15 games...scored 24 points, averaging 1.6 points per game, shot 32.3 percent from the field, finished with 33 rebounds, averaging 2.2 rebounds per game…scored a season high 8 points against Bradley (01/10/21) going 4-6 from the field...hauled in a season high 6 rebounds against Loyola Chicago (01/17/21).
Prior to UNI: Goanar Mar joins the Panthers via George Mason University where the 6-7 forward played three years. He started every game for the Patriots as a freshman averaging 10.9 PPG, 4.4 RPG and shot 35 percent from beyond the arc. Mar played in 19 games as a sophomore due to injury and competed in 31 games as a junior.
High School: He played prep basketball for DeLaSalle High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mar led DeLaSalle to four-consecutive 3A state titles and was one of five finalists for the 2017 Minnesota Mr. Basketball Award.
Personal: Goanar is the son of Elizabeth Jiech.
