Eight Panthers named 2025 CSC Academic All-District honorees

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their Academic All-District honorees for the 2025 football season and eight Panthers were recognized. From the CSC, "The 2025-26 Academic All-District Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom."
This season, Derek Anderson, Ayden Price, John Powers, Zach Mehmert, Blake Anderson, Ethan Schoville, Jamarion Augustus, and Jack Hearne were named to the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District squad.
DEREK ANDERSON - TE
Derek Anderson caught 20 balls for 184 yards with two touchdowns this year. He had two touchdowns with a long reception of 24 yards. He had a season-best four receptions with 43 yards and a score in the opener against Butler. Anderson also added a TD catch against UND. The senior finished with a 4.0 with a masters in Kinesiology and Sports Performance.
AYDEN PRICE - WR
Ayden Price finished the season with 20 receptions for 365 yards and two touchdowns including a season-high 135 yards and one touchdown in six receptions against Eastern Washington. Price tabbed a 3.98 GPA in Biology and pre-prof: medicine.
JOHN POWERS - LB
John Powers played in 12 games and recorded 20 total tackles with 10 solo, 10 assisted, and two for a loss of three yards. Powers blocked a punt at NDSU that led to a touchdown on the recovery in the endzone. He recorded a 3.94 GPA as a construction management major.
ZACH MEHMERT - TE
Zach Mehmert played in 12 games making five starts for the Panthers and recorded six receptions for 35 yards. Mehmert earned a 3.85 GPA in construction management.
BLAKE ANDERSON - OL
Blake Anderson was a staple on the UNI offensive line, starting all 12 games. The senior offensive lineman allowed just two sacks all season and a pressure percentage of 4.3% with 17 total pressures all season. Anderson recorded a 3.73 GPA as a PE Teaching & Kinesiology and Exercise Science major.
ETHAN SCHOVILLE - SAF
Schoville played in all 12 games for UNI making five starts at safety. He finished the season with 44 total tackles and a forced fumble with 2.5 TFLs for six yards. He earned a 3.71 GPA in accounting.
JAMARION AUGUSTUS - DL
Augustus played in all 12 games making nine starts for UNI. He finished the 2025 season with 31 total tackles including three sacks for 27 yards. Augustus tabbed a 3.61 GPA in graphic design.
JACK HEARNE - OL
Jack Hearne started 11 of the Panthers' 12 games this season, allowing just one sack and six total pressures for a 1.9% pressure percentage. Hearne tabbed a 3.56 GPA as a Kinesiology and Exercise Science major.
